Greek Arbitrage Pulse: sure-bet statistics
The Greek Arbitrage Pulse counts the sure bets ArbPlay's scanner finds at the eight Greek-licensed bookmakers it reads: how many there are, how big the edge is and how long each one lasts. The panel below shows the count right now. Weekly figures, with the method and a free CSV download, start on 20 October 2026.
How many sure bets are open right now?
Sure bets at the eight Greek-licensed bookmakers with an edge from 0.5% to 10%, each bet counted once however many venues cover it.
05:00–08:00 Athens time is left out. Live figures resume at 08:00.
Edges are before fees and exchange commission. The panel shows counts only, never a match, odds or a link. From 03:00 to 10:00 exchange cover is not counted, so those tiles show “—”.
What will the weekly figures show?
Every Monday from 20 October 2026, this page publishes the previous week's figures, checked before they go live:
- Sure bets per day, by sport, live and pre-match
- The typical edge, and how many reach 2% and 5%
- How long a typical sure bet lasts, and how many last over a minute
- Which Greek bookmakers they appear at, and whether an exchange or a prediction market covers them
- The busiest hours of the day
Each edition comes with a free CSV download under the CC BY 4.0 licence.
How does the Pulse count sure bets?
- Bookmakers. Only the eight Greek-licensed bookmakers ArbPlay scans: Stoiximan, Novibet, Pamestoixima, Bwin, Fonbet, Superbet, Elabet and Allwyn / OPAP Store. The bet is placed at the bookmaker and covered on a betting exchange or a prediction market.
- Threshold. An edge of 0.5% or more, as the scanner computes it: before fees and exchange commission.
- Ceiling. Sure bets whose edge goes above 10% are left out: at that size a price is usually an error or a suspended market.
- One bet, counted once. A bet at a bookmaker that two venues cover is one opportunity, with its best edge.
- Lifetime. From the first to the last time the scanner sees a sure bet, in 5-second snapshots. It ends when the sure bet has been gone for a minute (live) or three minutes (pre-match), or when the match starts. If our own data stops first, the sure bet still counts but its lifetime is left out.
- Brief glimpses. A sure bet seen in a single snapshot is left out of the weekly figures.
- Hours. 05:00–08:00 Athens time is left out. Opportunities covered on an exchange are counted from 10:00 to 03:00. The bookmaker share uses 10:00–00:00, when all eight bookmakers are scanned.
What do these numbers not tell you?
- Edges are before fees and exchange commission, so the margin you keep is smaller.
- Odds move: by the time both bets are placed, a sure bet can be gone.
- Bookmakers can void bets placed at obvious errors, and limit accounts that bet this way.
- The counts follow what the scanner covers: a bookmaker scanned for fewer hours shows fewer sure bets.
- This is information about the market, not advice and not a promise of returns.
Frequently asked questions
What is a sure bet?
A sure bet (arbitrage) is a set of bets on every outcome of an event, at different bookmakers or on an exchange, at odds that lock in a margin whatever the result, provided every bet is placed at the quoted odds. Read the full guide.
Which bookmakers does the Pulse cover?
The eight Greek-licensed bookmakers ArbPlay scans: Stoiximan, Novibet, Pamestoixima, Bwin, Fonbet, Superbet, Elabet and Allwyn / OPAP Store. Books without a Greek licence are left out.
Why is 05:00–08:00 Athens time left out?
Our scanners stop and restart in the early morning, and some bookmakers are scanned for fewer hours, so those hours are not comparable from one day to the next. Leaving them out measures every day the same way.
Can I use these numbers?
Yes. The weekly figures and the CSV are free to reuse under the CC BY 4.0 licence. Cite “ArbPlay Greek Arbitrage Pulse” with a link to this page.
Are these edges what I would earn?
No. Edges are before fees and exchange commission. Odds move, and bookmakers can void bets placed at obvious errors or limit accounts, so a sure bet a scanner sees is not a promise of returns.
